Jason Caldwell

Pixels by day, perennials by dusk.

For over a decade I've designed for fledgling startups to the Fortune 500 — leading design on a few, and in the thick of it on many more. I've mentored designers along the way and built a habit of asking why before what.

My work has been featured in The Atlantic, Fast Company, and Forbes, and in the bestselling book Infographics: The Power of Visual Storytelling. I also designed the infographic in the first tweet an elected official ever sent during an inauguration — a small honor I'm proud of.

AI runs through everything I do now. I prototype with it, dig through research with it, draft and pressure-test ideas with it. And I treat it like any sharp tool — with caution. Mostly it's turned the slow parts fast, which leaves more room for the parts that need a human.

When I'm off the clock, I like to get away from the computer — tending an urban garden, deep in a DIY project, exploring a National Park, or chasing my daughter around the yard.
